Objectives:
This event creates an honest, practical space for anyone considering starting a business or already in the process of founding one. Participants will gain valuable guidance on funding opportunities, taxes, finance, insurance, and common startup pitfalls—directly from experienced experts, with plenty of time for individual questions and discussion.
Short Description:
Starting a business is often associated with freedom, success, and self-fulfillment—but few people talk openly about the uncertainties, bureaucracy, financial challenges, or funding opportunities that come with entrepreneurship. This event is designed to change that.
During the “Honest Founders’ Q&A incl. Funding Check”, three experienced experts will share practical, transparent insights into the realities of starting a business. In a moderated panel discussion, organized in cooperation with BPW Düsseldorf, startup expert Aline Pelzer, tax advisor Viktoria Park, and finance and insurance expert Valeria Gorzejewski will discuss the most important aspects of launching and growing a business.
The discussion will be moderated by Lucy Rohda, a startup coach, who will guide the conversation through the questions founders ask most frequently—from funding programs such as the AVGS and the Startup Grant (Gründungszuschuss) to taxes, insurance, financial planning, common mistakes, and the challenges entrepreneurs typically face in the early stages.
Following the panel, participants will have the opportunity to ask their own questions directly to the experts and receive tailored advice and practical recommendations. The goal is to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with clarity, confidence, and actionable guidance for their own entrepreneurial journey—honestly, accessibly, and without unnecessary jargon.
