The event targets early-stage startups who are still developing their product, technology, or business model, and are looking for further funding. Participating startups should be interested in raising funds from diversified sources including business angels, VCs, loans, and public funding sources. The ideal participant will be a technology-oriented, pre-seed/seed stage company with international ambitions.
The event will be structured as a presentation and interactive workshop format. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of public funding opportunities with a main focus on startup-freindly programmes within the EU’s funding landscape, in particular Cascade Funding and the European Innovation Council.
The event will not only explain how these programmes work, but will also explore how they can be leveraged together with private capital and fundraising roadmaps to increase the chances of success. Through interactive exercises, participants will be empowered to identify the most innovative aspects of their technology and to identify the appropriate financing sources for their needs.
The workshop will also introduce the Investment Readiness Scorecard (IRS) from the EU-funded EEN2EIC project, designed to support start-ups to assess their investor readiness and identify areas for improvement, with the opportunity to interactively use the IRS tool during the event.
The event organisers will remain available to support companies implement their innovation and funding plans beyond the event through free-of-charge support services.
