As part of two short presentations by Stadtwerke Düsseldorf AG and SPIE, participants will gain insights into neighbourhood and community management made in Düsseldorf.
In a subsequent workshop, the focus will be on designing a “neighbourhood of the future” in Düsseldorf — whether fictional or based on a real location is entirely up to the participants.
Working in interdisciplinary teams, participants will develop concrete solutions using existing products and services from both companies (SWD & SPIE), while also contributing their own technologies, platforms, and business models. The goal is to create an actionable overall concept for climate-neutral, liveable, and economically sustainable neighbourhoods.
Important note for interested participants:
The main focus is on feasibility and implementation. The workshop is therefore primarily about further developing existing approaches and technologies rather than engaging in completely open-ended creative ideation. The aim is not to invent the “next new app,” but to connect existing structures with participants’ own developments and ideas.
Sufficient time will also be provided for networking afterwards.
