As part of Startup Week Düsseldorf, we are once again inviting aspiring founders, startup teams, and early-stage companies to join our workshop series, “HEUKING Legal Session 2.” This event provides a concise, practice-oriented overview of the key legal issues facing technology-driven startups during their formation, growth, and financing stages. Experienced legal professionals will share insights into current developments, the applicable legal framework, and common challenges encountered in business practice.
The workshop focuses on forward-looking legal topics, including digital law, the protection of intellectual property (IP law), and the legal considerations surrounding defense, space, and dual-use technologies. Another key topic is patent protection and innovation strategies for software- and AI-based business models.
Participants will also gain valuable insights into the legal fundamentals of venture capital financing and learn about the key considerations involved in investor participation and financing rounds.
The program concludes with a specialized session on healthcare law for MedTech, HealthTech, and BioTech startups.
The event is primarily intended for existing startups seeking to expand their legal knowledge and prepare for future growth and fundraising. However, individuals with early-stage startup ideas are also welcome to attend. In addition to expert presentations, participants will benefit from practical case studies and the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers.
Attendance is possible either in person or online via Microsoft Teams, allowing participants to choose the format that best suits their needs.
