How can startups become more inclusive — even when time, resources, and structures are still being developed?
In this interactive workshop, we will explore why people with disabilities (around 22.8% of the population) are an important future topic when it comes to attracting employees, especially for young and fast-growing companies. We will also discuss how initial concrete steps towards inclusion can be integrated early in the company-building process.
Together, we will look at typical challenges in startups:
lack of HR structures,
uncertainty when dealing with disability,
pressure on time and resources,
and the question of how an inclusive company culture can actually be created.
The focus is not on perfection or “avoiding mistakes”, but on openness, reflection, and realistic approaches for everyday business situations.
Participants will receive:
practical insights,
concrete examples from working with companies,
space for discussion and questions,
and initial ideas for more inclusive recruiting and workplace structures.
The workshop will be supported by people who bring both professional expertise and personal perspectives on disability and the world of work. This creates an honest, practical, and equal exchange.
The format is particularly aimed at:
founders,
startups,
young companies,
HR professionals,
and anyone who wants to consider inclusion within their organisation.
No prior knowledge is required. We aim to make the event as accessible as possible. Please let us know what you need in order to participate in the best possible way.
