Office hours for entrepreneurs: typical bottlenecks along the development of your business — and proven solutions that take hold quickly.
Growth is a phase business. Build-up and expansion, new markets, reorganisation, internationalisation, strategy or leadership change — every phase brings its own typical bottlenecks. Many of them are not flaws: they arose from good efforts in an earlier phase that no longer hold today. What was right in the founding phase jams in growth. What carried growth no longer fits after reorganisation. The task is to recognise the old, replace it cleanly, and find the right answers for the new phase.
The pit stop is the format for it. The motorsport analogy is deliberate: sometimes a small steering correction is enough to regain power. Sometimes a short stop to fix something before it gets more expensive. Sometimes targeted tuning at one point that is underperforming. Over two hours, we go through the typical bottlenecks along the growth phases — for each phase: how you recognise them, the causes usually behind them, the proven solutions that get you breathing again. Funding can plug in at many points.
You work on your own business in parallel. A diagnostic map guides you through the bottlenecks — you locate your business, we prioritise together: what has to happen this week, this quarter, what can wait? You leave the workshop with a plan that is explainable to your team on Monday.
The content comes from thirty years of consulting practice in owner-led mid-market businesses and 2,700 mandates — experience with what actually jams and how managing directors get their business back up to speed without rebuilding the whole place.
The participants are owners and managing directors of owner-led mid-market companies who sense something is not working, but who are not yet ready to launch a major consulting project. Those who come with a concrete concern — a department that is not performing, a client about to leave, a process that keeps jamming — work on their own case.
What you take away: a diagnostic map with your marked bottlenecks and a prioritised list of actions with weekly, quarterly and yearly horizons.
