The NRW startup ecosystem is more international than it looks. Latin American founders and innovators are already here — building companies, developing solutions, and connecting markets that most players in this room have not yet explored. Behind that presence there is a wave of innovation coming from Latin America that is directly relevant to what NRW is building right now: greentech, agri-tech, logistics, digital services, deep tech, international trade relationships, and sustainable business models already being tested in some of the most demanding markets in the world.*
The EU-Mercosur agreement came into force in May 2026. New supply chains are opening. New markets are accessible. And the founders who understand those markets best are already operating in NRW, with products, services, and business relationships that the local ecosystem has not yet fully seen.
This session brings that into focus.
Who is this for: Latin American and Ibero-American founders and professionals building in NRW who want to connect, collaborate, and grow. And for German founders who see Latin America as a real business opportunity and want to move from interest to action.
Programme:
Opening: The Ibero-American innovation ecosystem and what it brings to NRW in 2026. Concrete sectors, real cases, no abstractions.
Main conversation: Building in Germany as an international founder. What works, what does not, and where the actual opportunities are right now.
Open session: Structured exchange. Where can founders on both sides collaborate, build, and grow together?
Organized by Iberoamérica Allianz, a professional business network connecting the Ibero-American and German business ecosystems in NRW.
